It's Been Awhile!

Hey there, all!

So, it's been sometime since I've made a post here and honestly, I hope no one has any hard feelings about that, but I figured it was time to come back and let you all know what's been up.

First off, yes, I'm still writing but no, I don't have anything for you today. Sorry. I'm trying to work through things to be able to post here regularly again but it turned out that my hiatus went on a little longer than I expected with all the craziness that's happened in the world over the last year or so. Pandemics, horrible governments and trying to put the pieces of your life together will do that. Especially when you're trying to figure out your identity and start medical treatment to be your best you on top of it all!

Rest assured, I miss you guys and I miss connecting with you through my stories and your comments and what have you. It's been rough and honestly for awhile there I wasn't--really, I couldn't--write anything but I'm starting to get to a place of comfort and happiness again so I can do what I love most. Tell stories of love and hope and just plain silly, sexy stuff.

Lately, and no judgement here, I've actually been working on my first fanfic to just do something random and fun for myself and it's been giving me a lot of refreshing vibes in the little corner of my writing world along with a ton of great ideas for stories I hope to be able to share with y'all very soon. On top of that I have about half of a coming of age tale about a trans guy who starts to learn about his identity in college with a big 'ol queer found family so there's also that on the queue that will--again, hopefully--be coming up soon. I know this sounds like a lot of possibly and maybes but I assure you there's nothing that I want more than to get back into a regular routine as a writer again.

Which brings me to the next bit of news I wanna talk to you guys about. I'm starting an indie publishing house! It's for trans folx, by trans folx and I'm super excited to get y'all to come along with me on this journey as things start to get kickstarted along the next year. Things are already starting to get rolling to the point that me and my associate are about ready to accept submissions and hopefully have some prints by the end of the year and if you were wondering, I will be trying to get some of my novels published through as well so if you've ever dreamed of holding a Kelryn Colrite original in your hands, that may be a possibility in the future!

The last thing I want to say is that I just appreciate all of the loyal patrons that I've had that have stuck with me during all of these hard times and the drought of not hearing from me for months and months on end. I never want to leave my readers hanging like that and I don't want you to think I'll ever just disappear into the wind again--not a great track record on my side, I know, but bear with me, please. So, here's hoping that 2021 will be a better year for all of us, that I can produce a bunch of new work to give you guys and that my business endeavors go well so I can continue to bring y'all more of my work and all the other amazing authors that I've been connecting with lately.

Oh, one more note before I hang my hat up on this! If you want to know of what I'm doing on a day to day basis, the things I'm working on and all the other random shit I talk about head over to twitter and follow me @colrite to stay updated!

Alright everyone, stay safe, be good to each other and as always, happy reading!

Can’t wait for your publishing! Definitely going to have at least one Colrite novel on my shelf. What was the fanfic? Are we going to get to see, or is it just for personal fun? ❀️

Looking forward to any new snippets you post here. And glad you are doing well.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering when we might see you on here again. When your company publishes your work in paper, I would certainly be interested in purchasing a copy.
