Map 004 - The Enki

Hey folks!

If you've been following our WIP posts, you'll know we've been working on this ancient alien spacecraft. Well, here is the final result; The Enki! This is the name of the Sumerian god of water, knowledge, mischief, crafts and creation.

When you think of alien spacecrafts; what usually comes to mind? Most likely you'd think of sleek, smooth and simplistic interiors, right?
We've aimed to flip that idea by incorporating Mesolithic architecture into our extra-terrestrial ship; giving it a more intricate and strange appearance.

The inner workings of the ship are intentionally vague. We like to leave the viewer with more questions than what has been answered when they look at this map. Being an extra-terrestrial and other-worldly map, some confusion comes with the territory.

We wanted people to be surprised by the intricacy of the line work, so if you take a closer or more skewed look, you might be interested by what you find!

You'll probably spot a lot of iconography and symbolism amongst the details in the map. Connor likes to use these to create narratives and mythology for his own home-brew games, and we thoroughly encourage you to do the same!
