Drops: July 2024
Added 2024-06-20 14:00:09 +0000 UTCHi, Patrons! Are you excited to watch a new director's cut LIVE with Jono and Alan? Pick which episode you want to watch with them in July. Then, we'll watch it together using Drops right here on Patreon. See you there!
In case you missed the news, Drops replaced Discord live chats. Drops is only available in the Patreon app, so make sure your app is updated to the latest version. Drops should be coming to desktop soon, we hope!
More news! Since you've been enjoying Drops so much, every director's cut is posted as a Drops. Jono and Alan can only commit to one per month. Other CT team members may join, if they're available. Enjoy your weekly Drops!
Note: The Boy and the Heron is up for voting again because we couldn't release it in June. Still waiting on good clips. But it should be out in July so it gets a second chance!

Anastasia every time. I love the OG movieโฆYul Brynner-sigh. My kids and I love the animated version. Iโve never considered Anastasia in the light of a hero, your comments will be very interesting. I hope this is the one chosen.

2024-06-21 02:30:39 +0000 UTCOn Yul Brynnerโฆ. The man defines smolder when he tells Anna that the couples werenโt dancing with hands together in The King and Iโฆ. Then he reaches out to her to touch her waist. THE look. Oh swoon. Iโd be breathless after that polka too. Goodness. ๐๐๐

2024-06-20 21:50:43 +0000 UTCTHIS! ๐ I grew up with the animated version and though I watched tons of classics, I never knew about the OG until adulthood. The amount that the animated movie drew off of that one is amazing. (Can we say WOWZA to her dress IRL?!) Also, ditto to the Yul Brynner comment ๐

2024-06-20 16:08:00 +0000 UTCWhen are you guys going to do The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (the Ben Stiller version)?

2024-06-20 16:06:36 +0000 UTCIโm guessing you mean the animated Anastasia. The โOnce Upon a Decemberโ. sequence still sends me chills. But the 1956 version with Ingrid Bergman, Yul Brynner (THE sexiest bald man EVER), and Helen Hayes is powerhouse. The scene with a Hayes and Bergman where Hayes accepts her as Anya is fantastic. She basically says she will love her despite the uncertainty. Wow. And what is it that Alan says โฆ put two actors together who can act โฆ and thereโs your special effect!
