The toy drone soldier! 🎉

After counting and combing the votes from Subscribestar/FANBOX the toy drone soldier peril came out on top, followed closely by the rubber-clad reindeers in the runner-up place. And the miniature tree-topper doll took the bronze home; meaning that the toy drone soldier peril will be the one featured in this year’s Christmas special! 🎄🎁

Speaking of which: I’ve also been hard at work on the Christmas special today, getting the base design of the toy drone soldiers down in Blender. I’m largely pleased with the base design (see the teasers): They feel a bit “simplistic” in their design, but that’s also kinda the vibe I’m aiming for? Since I really want to highlight the “artificialness” of those shiny dolls. Plus it also fits nicely with the idea that the whole suit is just slam-pressed onto them; making for a seamless, squeaky package. :3

Beyond fiddling some more with the drone design tomorrow I’ve also got the scene dressing I still need to do: Slapping in an conveyor belt, modeling a slam press and some other misc. stuff. I also still need to do the lightning setup plus look for a different Christmas outfit for the twins...so yeah; there’s still quite a bit to be done before the special’s ready! That said, work is progressing on a steady pace and I’ve been feeling much better health-wise since yesterday. So I’m still aiming to have the Christmas special done by Second Christmas day (if not first). 💪

And today I’ve got teasers of the Christmas special! Teasing off (but not yet fully showing) the ~v0.9 of the toy soldier drones. It will be these squeaky bad girls rolling off the twins’ Christmas factory’s belt... Which is the very same belt Kathleen will find herself on. Fingers crossed she can(‘t) Christmas plead her way out of this one! 👀
