Most of commissions I make are half or full body art pieces. Well..maybe everyone who wanted portraits from me grabbed all the slots on my Patreon, who knows, hahaha!
But this rare portrait commission was a lot of joy for me to work on, since it was the very first thing I created after my so much wanted vacation. And you know what? I feel like this trip really gave me a lot of energy and inspiration, so this wasn't just some kind of routine, it was a real art creation. I hope this boost will give me a chance to create something I would be proud of, because it haven't happened in a long while now.
At this point the main conclusion I can make is "Take days off and go to vacations as often as you can, don't work non-stop more than a year in a row". I worked without any real vacations since September 2019. The last couple of years were a big bunch of stress for most of us, and I was not the exception. I felt like quality of my drawings wasn't high enough to make me happy with what I'm doing with my life.
Now I feel more confident and see clearly what I could do to make my life better. I just want to share these thoughts with you guys, maybe it could be useful for some of you.
