Commissions are opening in April

After a lot of contemplation and deciding how to handle things best, I've decided that in April, I'll open my commissions up for patrons at drastically reduced prices.

Since starting Patreon (and website subscriptions), my goal has always been to make maps for my community and share the creativity & imagination. However, trying to offer maps just for signing up to my Patreon/website, averages to paying myself less than $3 an hour at best.

Having a tier just for map making at a higher price tag has the risk of someone taking advantage of that and staying in the tier in order to get more maps made when I could be creating for others. Plus, I need the ability to say no to a project or have time  to do commercial work when it comes my way.

So, in April, I'll post a link to a form with all the details on how to submit your project for consideration. This will keep me from being overwhelmed and allow me to afford to keep making maps for you all.  Now to get to the bottom line, prices.

My commercial rates are... too high for the average person looking to have a map made for a home-game but they take a long time for me to create so here's my compromise:

Neither options offer you commercial use of the map & I recoup some of my lost wages by selling/offering the map to my community as a download or print.

And yes, you'll be able to make payments if your project is accepted.

I hope this seems reasonable to everyone.

Thank you! Will fix that now. :)

Pricing sounds good. Great and solid work at an expected cost. I did have to reread a line a couple times to understand the meaning. "Neither offer you..." might be better understood as "Neither option offers you...." but that might just be me.

Thank you! I was very nervous about doing this in fear it wouldn't be well received. I know it's not cheap but also, I have to be able to earn a living at the same time. So I'm happy it's getting positive reactions. :)

This seems very reasonable and knowing just how much damn time it takes to make a dungeon map, without any extra art, just the floor layout, this is more than reasonable for the kind of maps you make.
