Lil Evacuated Update:

I've been in New York for the past few days, I planned this trip a month or two ago, to visit some relatives, and it just happened to coincide with Hurricane Florence, and let me evacuate from the area in time.
So I'm very thankful that I'm safe and sound, and have family to stay with, even though I do want to get back as soon as possible. My flights back to North Carolina have been cancelled and pushed back a couple times in a row now, the whole area seems flooded and reports seem to say every road in and out of my county is impassable. There's probably no power at my house anyways, but I guess they're trying really hard to get everything working and every day I delay going back is another day things might be a little better there. I really have no idea about the condition of my house (that I am renting and I have renter's insurance for my stuff) but it could be totally fine for all I know.
So, just a little update for you, I'm just languishing, waiting to go back hoping everything's ok there. All my family and friends that I know are ok too, mostly sitting around bored in town without power or sitting around bored in a hotel in some other city.
A lot of people have sent me messages asking if I was ok and I appreciate the concern. I hope you're all doing ok as well!
