sora - re.sort is a legendary album and achieving their sound design has always been one of my goals
And recently, although not perfect, I've kinda found a way to achieve a similar sound - here's a very basic but essential video on the sound design process:

Also the link attached above to this post is a batch of mudpie sessions that utilize this technique (some sounds do involve hardware gear like MOOD or VSTs like Portal but the process is essentially the same)
