Honestly there might be no real point in watching Ahsoka without having any attachment to Clone Wars and definitely Rebels. It’s quite literally Rebels S5 in a lot of ways and I can’t imagine people making much sense of it without at least some context from that. Like Xeecee I thought it was enjoyable enough, but having fondness for the returning characters does a LOT of heavy lifting 💀

2024-07-06 22:29:31 +0000 UTCCoincidence with Liz really getting into the Odyssey, I'm (finally) reading Emily Wilson's (recent-ish) translation, since the paperback version of her Iliad translation is coming out the beginning of next month - and I'm really enjoying it! At the very least, Wilson has a PhD in Classic Studies (or whatever the appropriate field is) and has some interesting articles and interviews on her translation process, so I trust she knows what she's doing.
