Hey everyone, Merry Christmas-Eve, Happy Almost-a-day-or-two-off-work for those who don't celebrate, and of course, it's Bonus Dose Day! Before we get to that though, just a note that I've answered most, if not all, of the Q&A questions so far, and you're welcome to keep adding to it. Anyway, on to this week's Bonus Dose, in which I... defend... K-Pop artists? Certainly a departure from my usual mockery. But it's an interesting look at how, basically, the music industry is awful everywhere, maybe even moreso over there. Enjoy!
A lot of people think that places like South Korea and Japan are "futuristic", but in many ways, they're very much living in the past. Buckley looks at a story in which a K-Pop group named "NewJeans" was told they didn't really have any employment rights because they aren't considered employees... of the company that has them under contract and can tell them when to perform, and even who they can and can't be in relationships with. But, there's a fun twist ending!
