Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day and today's video is a slight departure from my regular slideshows because... it actually includes VIDEO?! What? That's right, your ol' pal Buckley is really movin' fast into the 2010s... wait, what year is it again? Well, you'd be forgiven for thinking you've travelled back in time because today I'm talking about (and showing you) people literally going insane for Pokémon cards, a phenomenon that's literally spanned 4 decades now. Enjoy!
Pokémon is a franchise that is so popular that it's crossed over 3 generations of kids... and some of them decided not to grow up (or... evolve? EH?!) Buckley looks at numerous videos of adults losing any sense of civility over cards with cartoon animals printed on them, in some cases physically getting into fights for the chance to get their hands on a box of cards, tells you some of the theories as to why this is happening, and explains why Nintendo is more than happy to see this continue (although I'm sure employees at Costco could do with fewer bodies flying around their stores!)
