Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day, and this one's probably gonna test the ol' "if you can't laugh at the things you love, you don't deserve to laugh at the things you hate" motto of this channel for some people, but this isn't really a POLITICAL video, it's more of an update to a video I did several years ago about music licensing. I've got an update for you on Neil Young's lawsuit, a NEW lawsuit, and some (new?) rules that may change how politicians use music going forward. Enjoy!
Another political campaign, another musician getting mad at their music being used. Must be election season! Buckley looks at two recent stories involving Trump using "unauthorized" music, this time from Canadian royalty Celine Dion, and Funk & Soul legend and South Park voice actor Isaac Hayes. We found out via Neil Young that Trump can use pretty much whatever song he wants, BUT, have the rules become more complicated? And how much of a chance does Isaac's family have of collecting $3 million from the former (and possibly future) President?
