EARLY ACCESS: Musical Autopsy: Post Malone & Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help

Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day and it's an all new Musical Autopsy! As you may remember, I'd been having some "reach" problems with these videos, concerned that perhaps YouTube was throttling them due to the word "Autopsy", and so I put "MA" in the title for the Katy Perry video. That video seemed to do better than many of my recent Autopsies, but maybe it's because it was a song people wanted me to make fun of? I don't know, but we're trying it again here with what is one of the biggest songs of 2024, so we'll see if it does ok. Anyway, enjoy the video!
Just in time for Halloween, Doc Buckley heads down to the Musical Morgue to slice up the biggest song of the summer. At first glance, Post Malone and Morgan Wallen's "I Had Some Help" is a kinda standard modern Country song. BUT, is it maybe a little TOO modern?!

Iβve only ever heard parts of this on the radio and didnβt even realize this was two artists singing till now. π they are definitely into each other in the video though.

2024-10-26 00:35:21 +0000 UTCwell, my memory is shite especially when it comes to like ~12 years of being subscribed to you but it might actually be the first time we have a musical autopsy of a song I genuinely like (and know). I enjoy checking out like 1 song of Post Malone/year and it's been this in 2024. I like it, it's one of the rare songs which are simple but fun to play on drums, I like the flow, it's pretty upbeat, lyrics are whatever, nothing terrible, nothing above ok. Don't really care about country, and its a cool theory about them being lovers but sadly the music video shows Post talking on the phone to someone sounding like a woman in a phone booth. Maybe Morgan has that voice changing app on the phone? Who knows.
