My side of the first draft is done, but I still have 10 chapters to get back from my partner and their edits to get done. Book 2 is up to 123k, from 117k, and that's
without additional changes.
I had to roll back some of the changes I made in Book 1, so I’m back to only
having the first 5 chapters done. Finding all of the areas with misspellings,
weird spacing issues, and stat sheet changes is taking longer than I would like but that's because my focus is on writing, which I’ve been doing.
One of my major goals is to get to the point where I can share additional
chapters here. I want to get up to 4 a week but I might need to start with one
additional chapter a month. From there I can work my way up without
decimating my backlog. I’m terrified I’ll get sick like I did in November and use it all up
again.
I just heard back from the illustrator of book 1 and they are no longer
illustrating. So I need to find a new artist for the covers for That Which Devours. Two steps forward and one step back. At least it won’t break the bank since
January was a decent month for my first series on Amazon.
So the next steps, are writing book 3, working on the edit of book 1, and
finding a new cover artist for the first three covers.
