About the next update to IASM
Added 2024-08-30 11:58:04 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the summer and are doing well. With the reveal of the next War Thunder major update, I'll be sharing what my plans are for updating the mod.
The next update to IASM is planned to be released at the same time as the Major Update compatibility update. This update to IASM will immediately feature new custom JF-17 RWR sounds and will also add the Tornado RWR sounds as well. The main reason for this wait is due to the fact that Gaijin will be updating their sound modding project to a newer version of FMOD Studio, meaning I'll have to move everything over and fix the compatibility issues this major update will bring, which takes a lot of time and effort.
Besides that, you can expect a few minor changes too. One of which will be a change to the track tones on RWRs that do not have an actual dedicated track tone. An example of this is the F-14A RWR, which has a single continuous tone as its track tone. This will be replaced with the actual F-14 RWR track tone as heard on the F-14B. That's not the only change, and a full changelog will of course be posted with the release of the new version.
