Tomato Trouble

But today, a news story caught my attention. It was from PTI. The story spoke of a vegetable vendor in Varanasi, UP, who had taken an unusual step. With tomato prices soaring in the past few days, he had hired bouncers to keep customers under control. "The price of tomatoes has skyrocketed. People are resorting to violence and even stealing tomatoes. To avoid any arguments, we decided to bring in bouncers. Tomatoes are selling for Rs 160 per kg, and customers are only buying small quantities like 50 or 100 grams," shared Ajay Fauji, the vendor, with PTI.
