2025-03-08 05:53:42 +0000 UTCThe realization and the /acceptance/ is what could take some time even if their care is undeniable. πI'm keen to see how Josh's J run goes given the past childhood crush and other things I've learned about him (like his disdain for being kept in the dark and how he fondly remembers those sleepovers with J, etc. Also, his heartless tattoo. πHow he may (or may not) react if Mrs. Corvin calls him handsome. Well, there's context, but I won't get into that here.) Exactly! The Returning Visitor's absence impacted J deeply; that's canon, no matter how you might go about any romance/friendship dynamics, but there's more to it that I'm eager to dive into (and also pile on thanks to your choices!) Mrs. Dorran π€ Clyde with dropping hints yet not finishing them in certain choice options. We will see if more comes from what he alluded to...

I wonder if it has anything to do with what Clyde started to say in the diner - about how J lost - What/Who did they lose π Clyde how could you leave us hanging like that.

2025-03-07 18:20:23 +0000 UTC"he would wait lifetimes for J every time if he needed to" ^ Soldeen, ah my heart.π He has always intrigued me (that's true for your Returning Visitors in different ways!) because of how he loves with his full heart and gives so much of himself. It could be so healing for J as well who has a tendency to be hard on themself, to hold onto things, to apologize, and other things we've witnessed. I'm excited for Soldeen to realize his feelings and the both of them to navigate their bond as if shifts into something different while still underlined with care. J has to work through some things. They do deserve the world! π« I love hinting and injecting some of the group bonds into things in subtle ways alongside the more obvious exchanges; I hope it adds more realism to Fernweh, but also could foster some insights in readers and feelings in MCs. (The bestie scenes/moments are so fun to write. J has quite a few at the Corvin family dinner and then the teasers in this come from R's future ones.)

Soldeen waited this long to be reunited with them- he would wait lifetimes for J every time if he needed to I love j so much they deserve the world!! Im so fond of seeing the group dynamics whenever it's mentioned. Seeing that R and S try to smoothe things out for J bc of their care for them!! I love their bond

We shall see how that goes, but I'm also π because of knowing Alex's care for J and dual-sided protectiveness they have going on. The Returning Visitor has a better chance of seeing J's fragile side compared to the town with the Detective--the unique perspective from their childhood friendship that J truly needed.
