Beckett's bemused question cuts your scan of the Verner gardens short when he joins you in peeking out from an archway. He's very close, leaning around you to likewise study a fraction of its magnificent landscaping. His eyebrows gather briefly at the lack of a startling sight or culprit for your newfound hesitation, inspiring him to edge forward and not quite trip on the raised threshold. Ahh, this is so cute and with an Aloof MC! I love aloof MC, sometimes there's just nothing to say about the situation. (Silently judges π) Also, as soon as we start this, B does that slide down the other person's arm to grab their hand? HELLO? I LOVE THAT MOVE??? I'm weak. (I'm actually weak to the whole "casual and natural move that ends in a handhold" moveset.) Ruby is so extra, I love her. Ruby and Jam can have the quartet and Jam will fall more in love with her. Beckett and Jam - that's not their style. Not only would it make the mood awkward, but it's too formal, too polished. The "I love you" reference in the forest. π₯²π₯²π₯² Jam's heart has been doing flips since that day. They went through that *together* and they're trying to make each other as comfortable as possible. They'll never let the other person go alone.
