[This is Part 2 of our Author's Choice! In case you missed it, here is Part 1. I was inspired to write narrative scenarios for each RO. This post has J, JR, and Mal. π Hope you enjoy! π]
Question: "If the ROs woke up in the middle of the night after having a very intense intimate dream about the RV, how do they handle it?
Who ignores their inflamed arousal and tries to go back to sleep? Who takes care of their situation because it's all they can think about?
Would the answer change if the RV is asleep beside them? I can think of at least two who may see about waking them up to help the RO out, but one more than the other who might actually commit to it.

sadly i don't really go there for JR but GOD DAYUM. that's all i can say while flushing furiously. NOW OFF TO MAL'S SECTION BECAUSE RED ON RED FLAG FREAKS ARE GOING STRONG. Solely Solo-Mancer Zarina discussions here but also diving into similar psychoanalysis because I'm fascinated. Ahem, I got into the awooga bark bark mode with Mal, my deepest apologies. It's been a moment weakness /j I think about how genuinely powerful Mal's control is after so many iterations/cycles. They're truly out here capable of repressing their emotion or desire so easily, consider it a fluke, and imagine on their own what they want. This is - similar to J's struggle - makes me think about how control is essential to Mal and how exhuming this control is also important to them, not in a harmful way, but more so they are /safe/ and /secure/. The solo-mancer route getting softer Mal makes me tear up quite often but also it adds this moment of full trust. I mean, let's be honest. TRUST is such an essential part of Mal's route: trusting them, choosing them, and never straying away. The toughest route to go through because 1 choice can really mess it up BUT THE PAY OFF IS SO DAMN GREAT. I think about the aspect of 'trust' here because dreams are intimate, they so are. It's where the brain/soul is resting and its tapping into the deepest parts of yourself, be it nightmares or dreams or dreamless nights. Mal being able to influence dreams of RV is such a big trust thing, but the fact that it can be turned just a bit naughty so RV can wake up and kiss them? Oh, Zarina is so into it and you bet she really doesn't hear Mal out and just goes to kiss them right away, drags them to her or goes to hover over them to give them so many kisses and touches and whispers of love, of their name. Top tier. Thank u for this.

2025-07-02 20:21:06 +0000 UTCJ CORVIN: As someone who analyzes spicy writings because sex showcases sides of characters that may be held back or repressed, I loved reading J's part because it underlines their control for the sake of protection. Additionally, after the last couple of Alpha updates, their views make so much more sense about the RV because they want to be so respectful, so careful, so tender. It's such a tender thing that makes me emotional because J - even in intimacy - is trying their best to hold back, to be mindful, to not allow themselves to go too fast. Every single RO puts RV above and beyond, but J has that approach with fragility that is so different compared to others because of their past + their ex (or not) best friends title. It goes so well with the ask that was here long before, the one about imagination and views. J always feels bad about any intimate in a sexual manner imagines that their brain might conjure. I always think about how it reflects a person's respect AND self view. How that 'disrespectful' can also go back into blaming oneself, shaming oneself, and feeling so guilty. Like it's dirty and RV is, in J's views, pure and isn't supposed to ever be thought out in that way. I love how it reflects their internal views and the already existing internal complications: RV isn't meant for Fernweh ("I can't allow myself to want this, they deserve better", "I'm not better, another will make them happier", "I only bring misfortune" and more), how someone else will make RV happier and more. I'll stop here for now with J's section. lol more in the comments under this one

2025-06-27 16:58:01 +0000 UTChmm, so is it weird to skip over the hot and horny parts of J's writing and laser focus on how they don't believe the RV's place is in Fernweh, making them even less likely to make a move, even if they believed the RV reciprocated their feelings. not to mention that they once again feel like they're not good enough for the RV (by the way, I have an insane amount of theories upon this which I shall not say here due to spoilers and also some aren't textual, just theories). serious part over, I'm laughing-cryinggggg over J's confusion and R's complete befuddlement over their dreams. VILE JR TENSION INDEED. I'm looking forward to the poly route not only because teehee, J and R, but how J and R navigate their feelings for each other. Mal........... I have 2 main Mal routes. This is a lie by the way, I now have FOUR main Mal routes (don't ask, you will regret it) and January and Johanna both are very into this Mal snippet. There are many benefits to an RO that can come into your dreams.

Replace dream with insomnia though and we can both just stare a hole in the ceiling. Can't be a bother. π€ Jrfjecejcecj R having cosy poly dreams. Love that for them honestly. You know Morgan also being on the Ace spectrum and Mal being Mal means this wouldn't happen to them but I still love it lmfao. They are gonna make it "our problem" not just a "my problem". Love that for them. I feel R would dreamfiltrate if they could too.
