Thank /you/ for such an amazingly kind comment about Mal, Heather! 🥰 Writing them is incredibly fun and engaging for me; you're right that they have that lowkey snark and pettiness that seeps into certain interactions. Most everything they say has layered meanings and tends to adapt by dynamic too. I'm excited for you to have more scenes with them. Their encounters on the other characters' RO excursions are just the start of how they'll command attention and weave into the narrative throughout the series (choice-dependent)! 💚

The part in the Alpha when J reaches unable to stop themselves, out of character for them (✿◡‿◡). Joshua didn't notice (blind + dumbass) but I noticed. Hell, the whole town is noticing how differently the detective is acting? Tabitha, gossiping isn't so fun anymore, is it? 😇 I looooooove R's little touches in the poly, drifting over to either of their partners. We feel far away from that right now... R getting into the RV's personal spaces already, but keeping distance from J still. I can't wait to see the first scene when R reaches out to J and J accepts. 🥰 Edited to add that R's pinky holds kill me... just picture me like a little cartoon character with an arrow through my heart. MAL. I'm on conflict run and January found dead in a ditch!!! Mal accepting touches, until JAM is the one who pulls away. 🥺 Willing to wait, but for how long? They don't seem as petty, but I notice that they're not reaching out first like in the solo-route. Waiting for the RV to come to them, making sure that RV chooses them, making the RV put in the effort. 😔 Solo-Mal, my soulmate girlie JoJo is having the time of her life. Reaching out for Mal and Mal's right there already, even if things are hard and JoJo needs space, Mal shows only patience and concern for an RV that's already theirs. Use that patience Mal, Johanna is Fernweh's most compliant solider (for now, with encouragement from Mal, I might improve her stats in the later books - GROWTH!).
