Bursts into this post with my Heartravager and Heartmender statuses. Just kidding (OR AM I). I wasn't even trying to find these roles, THIS IS ONE OF MY NATURAL JOJO PLAYTHROUGHS! Okay, if I remember correctly in my first playthrough or two, I definitely had Jam flirt with Mal, and I did get the feeling they were the RO, but I also didn't actually manage to trigger the Mal romance the first few times because I would choose flirt -> friendly, missing the Mal route because you have to flirt -> flirt (show more interest). Imagine reading and understanding that "maybe next time" line when you are only friendly to Mal!!! I think tumblr helped me figure out that you have to show *more* interest in Mal and not just tease/joke with them to start the route. And from there, since this is not a route that one can play with Mal all the way from the beginning, I kind of had to choose *which* RO was going to be in the complications route. (βΏβ‘βΏβ‘) I've said this before (evil) but I chose Mal/B because I hopped on the patreon and saw just how much vitriol Mal holds for B especially and well......... I'm a mess. π€ Being a hot mess lead me to the Mal solo route (childhood kiss + dump J) route. And um being stupidly curious lead me to take ???'s hand, being maybe one of the craziest people around here, because I didn't even hesitate. I don't even have a point to this ramble, I just really love exploring routes and bad ideas. πππ thanks for reading if you did, lmao EDIT TO SAY THAT I DO LIKE MAL! Maybe this post made you think I'm just an evil scientist, conducting crazy experiments, but even from my early playthroughs, I've thought Mal had a charm and seductiveness that was interesting, and a surprising vulnerability to soft MCs.
