Added 2025-08-30 17:52:33 +0000 UTCAs previously announced I got to start working on a book about Mystic Square, but I plan on extending to all of Makai. It's something I've had on my mind for quite some time already.
I plan on drawing 3 illustrations for each Mystic Square character. Other Makai characters like Magan will just get one. Depending on the workload and futurue endeavors, this number is subject to change...
That is the plan though! One of the illustrations is supposed to show the characters in their location, like Sara here. The second will be danmaku focused. I would like to show how I interpret their attacks...
The last illustration would be something like the Mai from a few days ago. Something like an intimate moment.
I have to make the book worth buying somehow after all 💦
I still don't know if it would be better to write the book from the viewpoint of an explorer or make it simply descriptive. Or maybe a mix of both could be good?
My only problem with the viewpoint of an explorer is that they would never survive long enough to make it all the way through!

とはいえ、これが基本計画です！1枚目のイラストは、サラのようにキャラクターをその場所（舞台）に配置したもの。2枚目は弾幕に焦点を当てたもの。私が解釈する彼らの攻撃の仕方を表現したいと思っています…
最後のイラストは、数日前に公開したマイのようなもの。親密な瞬間のようなシーンになるでしょう。
何せ本を買う価値を何とかして示さねばなりませんからね💦
探検家の視点で書くか、単純な説明文にするか、まだ迷っています。あるいは両方を混ぜるのが良いかもしれません？
探検家の視点で書く場合の問題点は、彼らが最後まで生き延びられないことですね！

2025-08-31 13:54:07 +0000 UTC😭😭😭 Thank you Lis for the lengthy in-depth comment!! It's true that reading it from a reporter-like stance would be far more engaging... probably! If there's a additional information given afterwards, or maybe beforehand, it could be fun to deduce if the explorer is currently headed to their doom or safe haven... 🤔🤔 Either way, it would help a lot to have a reporter do the thing so I get to fill the pages a lot more with more than just pictures. Especially on the early-tier characters. I have a lot to say about Sara, (maybe) but not as much about Louise for example... I too would like to read it now already! I'll do my best with it!

The way it’s pooling at her feet and how it properly conforms to the ground below it so you can tell what pose she’s sitting in even with it is really nice (´-ω-`) I love that grin, too, and how her hair looks here! The slight curl of the individual strands, and the way the light shines off it makes it look smooth like silk… ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪ the pose and the angle are really good, I like the idea that she’s sorta posing for a pinup, but the pose itself is rather relaxed, with her resting on her hands and sitting with a leg to her chest… the environment itself looks really nice, too, and the little details on the rocks are lovely! The framing it makes is good, too… a lone spotlight for her in a dark cave… ｖ（＾＿＾ｖ）♪ I’m really happy to see you’re going through with the book idea, though, I know you were considering it for quite some time *\(^o^)/* and the general structure of it does sound really interesting! Seeing several shots of danmaku-focused art from you especially… I can already tell they’re gonna be really cool! ( ^ω^ ) though, I would like to point out that just both the sort of candid shots like this one and the danmaku ones would already be more than enough to make me buy the book, as much as I did really love that Mai (´-ω-`) I’m sure there’s many more that would consider the book worth buying either way, try not to underestimate your own value too much! If anything with the reporter, though, the most unbelievable thing isn’t even that they manage to survive, but that they see something as gorgeous as that Mai photo and still manage to move on (￣▽￣) I do think writing the book from that perspective would be pretty neat, though, and the mix with more pure information would be useful in some ways, such as describing something that an explorer wouldn’t know at the time… I would probably do it that way, personally d(^_^o) I’m really looking forward to seeing the book progress, though!! I’m really looking forward to its release! I wish I could buy it right now, even! *\(^o^)/* please continue to do your best!
