NFT Membership Plans for the future

As I hinted in the previous post - I am bringing new life to my content creation after I took a deep dive into the NFT space and hopefully learned a lot.

Currently the NFT space is not there yet - especially in the artist space it feels like a very controversial topic - but I believe the voices that argue that the technologie in itself will at some point become mainstream. Maybe not in the way we understand it today. 

As normal as it was to have a website and social media accounts - it could be the same with NFTs for brands and creators. At least that is the narrative. We will see when and if that happens.

I am slowly preparing to integrate that in what I do - experimenting with its usability and how it would work for a small creator like me. It is a great opportunity for me to learn all kinds of different areas - like solidity smart contracts, web3 frontend and the mentioned python bot....

... but since I understand that many don't want to touch anything crypto related it will be non-destructive with patreon. It is just me offering a different approach to support or grant access utilizing technologies as they come up.

So -  if you have no interest in that area - you can stop reading. Nothing will change for you but the content is still coming! :)

If you keep reading - what does this whole NFT stuff mean for someone like me and the people that either want to support or access content I build? 

Instead of a patreon subscription you would own an NFT that provides a membership for the holder. That NFT would give you access to all content - new and old. 

The big difference for you as a holder -  once you have seen enough - or I take a pause like I just did - you can decide to sell that NFT - getting back some of your pledge - hopefully over the years and maturity of my content and the space itself,  it might be worth more than you pledged. It is like a mini investment on my future in this space.

The other obvious difference is that once you hold that NFT - it is like a lifetime access key that you never have to pay for again until you decide to sell it. 

For the creator it provides the option to use the blockchain technologie to verify holders easily. It opens a whole new world of opportunities to create value for the holder. From DAO voting power to access to blockchain powered Apps.

It is not something I am going to rush into and will build carefully. It is one big experiment to combine many interests of my own.

I will keep you posted on any progress on that side of things. In preparation of this I am going to clean up and improve the Discord Server.
