Guide to Catalog Numbers & Mix Categorization

Section 1.1
Base categories

The first half of the catalog number.

This primarily relates to where the material was sourced from, whereas the "theme" is defined in the second half of the catalog number, found below (in section 1.2).

"AM" = A.M. Radio Series
A series built from my own homemade A.M. radio captures. These mixes are most often framed as "hypothetical K-Mart tapes".
"RV" = Robbie Vincent Definitive Collection
A series collating the archival tape captures of my favorite FM radio DJ ever, recordings span roughly 1978-2003 (but mostly 1979-1987) and are sourced mainly from BBC Radio 1 & Radio London.
"ENT" = Entry Point Mix Series
A series of spotlight mixes exploring the expansive-but-often-overlooked catalogs of prolific artists & collectives.
"KMEC" = K-Mart Extended Collection
A series archiving the original "first pass" mixes I made while building the season one "K-Mart Definitive Collection" mixes. Essentially a more gently-paced version of the mixes heard previously, featuring extra material that was removed in the final versions. Full disclosure: These are expanded reissues of season one content! But they are available at a lower tier than the previous versions!

Section 1.2
Series list (subcategories)

This is where everything actually gets defined thematically. Each category may collate multiple sources.

"KMSC" = K-Mart Super Collection
Imaginary "Super K-Mart" tapes, during the height of their popularity. That's the concept. Once I got through the K-Mart archives, I couldn't help but realize that a LOT of music in the 70s/80s really hit similar "notes" for me to what the K-Mart tapes did. At some point I realized I could just curate my "own" K-Mart tapes moving forward to help continue that saga. That's the crux of it! Enjoy!
"BR" = BattleRoyale Sound Tracks
My personal Fortnite, Boneworks, Apex Legends & Fall Guys soundtracks. 80s jazz & funk music primarily. May take on other permutations over time, but they will be categorized separately.
"TS" = Telecom Series
A spin-off of the BattleRoyale Sound Tracks series, diverging away from pop/funk into more jazz fusion-centered territory. Soundtrack to a microcomputing business conglomerate, circa 1979-1998.
"TV" = Be Quiet The TV Is Talking
Imaginary in-store cassettes from a troubled K-Mart store. Something unnatural is going on here, and PrismCorp has an enormous interest in it. Notably this series takes place a decade or so prior to the "K-Mart Super Collection" (KMSC), and under much more narratively dire/bizarre circumstances.
"HOE" = Hell on Earth FM
Radio for a world engulfed in chaos. 1984, but make it 2084. Night City music. Something is very wrong with the response team.
"SIN" = Synchronicity Incident
I never got the chance to do music for an abandoned mall when people were still excited about it. I'm taking that opportunity now. Architecture gets reclaimed by nature. Music for the overgrowth. Think of it like Janitor Ahti's private reserve.
"CRASH" = C.R.A.S.H. Training Series
Welcome to the Upper Layer. By accepting the terms of your contract, you acknowledge that any changes henceforth made to your neurology will be irreversible and may result in a loss of memory (common forms including "Total Collapse Event", "Deleterious Sync Event", etc) - By accepting these terms, you hold PrismCorp unconditionally harmless in any liability arisen from it, and give us full permission to enact cognitive recycling measures in the event of such an occurrence.
