(Updated) Early access: The Top 100 Best-Selling Songs of All Time!
Added 2024-01-25 21:33:54 +0000 UTC
Updated this, let me know if there's still audio problems!
---
Hope you enjoy watching this a bunch of days early!
The numbers are fascinating. 76-100 all within 1mil sales of each other but the top three are a power to themselves with 101.2mil between 2 and 3 and 97.8mil between 1 and 2.
Thanks for the video and early access- there was time for the numbers nerd in me to come out! π€

Thanks for the early access and for the rolling credits again π₯° (Good luck for people trying to take screenshots of their names now π)
My Friday evening went super fast with these videos! And yes my day turned great after I got home from work and grocery shopping and when I finally got a chance to watch these, so no need to fight! π
It was really interesting to see what kind of things u notice from the songs. I had not paid attention to some of those small sounds. It was nice to hear the names for the sounds too π
I hope u have a great Friday ππ or else π

A lot of the songs are throwbacks to my family's playlists. My dad placed a huge all-in-one home stereo system at the living room that somewhat became a jukebox of entertainment because my parents and siblings will take turns to play their CDs, cassette tapes or fave radio stations especially on weekends. And watching TV with the stereo system always felt like I'm in a cinema. This vid is bringing sweet childhood nostalgia for me. Thank you for the early access~~π

Maybe about 1/4 of them I didn't know. My parents used to listen to some of these songs, but not all of them.. it could be Europe/American thing because it is/was not played on radios almost at all. I think the radios didn't own the rights or something like that.

I agree. A few times sound and visual were a bit off.

Were some of them unknown to you? Maybe it's just Americans, but I knew every song very well. Or I'm just old

Ooooh, a cheeky wee sneak peek! Thank you Joel π
Iβm finding a few technical issues with the visual and audio not syncing up throughout the video but, in particular, during the sponsor segment, itβs making it difficult for me to focus as well as the camera shakes. Otherwise, itβs another solid countdown video π

I feel spoiled π some cool, surprising, and also unknown songs on this list. The sound and visuals were so different, but MJ sounds so timeless (at least to me).. love the song Layla, and I'd never guessed the number one song.

I think Bono writes a lot for other artists and makes a ton of money from that.

I got curious and searched some stuff a bit on google. Bono is the second richest singer ( or in top 10 by another site) in the world in 2024 with a net worth of 1.8 billion dollars π±π±π±
While I agree that people donβt buy music as much I expected more people from the current era to be in that top, as they have other opportunities (huge deals for promoting stuff), and also if they are touring, at the concert prices today they should be making so much money.
