hey, i was wondering whether you could update the worksheet for 2023? since the latest exercises in the worksheet are from 2020

This video is everything; I tried revising logs using the textbook but it confused me more and your video cleared up and simplified everything:) this subscription has officially been my best investment to date

Yup looks a lot easier now. i see, you just have view it at a simpler angle
Aight got it. Thanks jacob. Sick worksheets btw.

I'm just simplifying the expression by multiplying through by the denominator? I think because it involves e^x which confuses you, if the expression was this instead "x + 1/x = 4x + 4", then simplifying this would be easier for you?

like other than multiplying with e^x

and lastly is there any other way to do this question?

As long as it makes sense mathematical you're good. Remember "e^-x" is "1/e^x" same thing.

oh but i just made e^-x to 1/e^x and in that way u get rid or e^-x and get e^2x plus 1. Basically the same thing you did except the multi of e^x. anyway i kinda did get the correct ans but its positive instead of -ve.

(e^x)(e^-x) = 1

I times through by "e^x" to get rid of the "e^-x".

hey jacob, for q19 why did you multiply e^x to the 4(e^x)+4 ?
cuz we already have a e^2x after simplifying.

for q18 isnt it supposed to be e^x - e^-x but you did +

Yes I guess that works but I would recommend always taking logs for practice when you encounter equations of higher complexity.

hey, instead of taking logs on both sides, are we allowed to just plug it in the bases so we get the direct value e.g 2e^2x=5 can be directly written as 2x= ln5/2 without taking logs on both sides

Hello thx alot for the videos .. just wanted to ask about the last question . I tried solving it by doing u=e^x . From the begining . That's simplifies everything . And got the same answer .

I've barely seen it. The only place I have seen the sketching of graphs such as e^x and ln(x) is in the numerical solutions question. So have a look at that. You should know the basic shapes of these graphs but it's pretty minor.

Uh no I'm talking about 10 (b). You wrote u = e^2x but then you later used u = e^x. Is that a mistake, or am I just dumb idrk

I just checked. Ummm I see no mistake are you talking about the end of question 10 (a)? Cause I just multiplied through by e^x, then simplified, then multiplied by e^x again.
