Just some good old fashioned werewolf angst for the soul 🐺 Wanted to really try studying the human body for this one! That's a really important aspect of the werewolf design to me, I want their base anatomy to be humanoid but they're essentially too big to stand on two legs without support lol. Another kind of rule I have is that the muzzle of the werewolf mimics the human form's side profile, Leo's is super fun cuz of how swoopy it is so ofc he's the one I like drawing most. This definitely felt like a proper painting though, I really had to work at it, maybe I went a little overboard with the curls but that's my brand so it's fine. Working in black and white is neat too because it's a lot easier to explore different blend mode combos with no base hues, and I eventually landed on something I really liked. It's just a lightish red 'darker color' mode at 35% opacity but I think it adds a lot! My fav part of illustrations nowadays is probably just editing the piece lmao I looove editing & lighting. I actually experimented a bit with this at the end there, just a few irl doodles I might post later on. i really like the Hazel one, I'm having fun editing photos to look like they could be digital, maybe i'll start making that a regular thing if people like it since I really do like sketchbooking even if i don't do it often enough. Also I had to doodle these like absolutely gorgeous ducks I saw they were mesmerizing I couldn't help it
