Kiki Style Study Animation HQ

It was hard as heck though, it's difficult enough to not let too much of your own style bleed into an illustration, but then it starts moving? I feel like I stared at it for too long and now I genuinely can't tell what it looks like anymore, but at least I'm happy with the animation itself! I wanted to copy the way Ghibli does hair where it poofs up in response to emotion, and by extension the bow. Consistency is so important in that regard because the extra duplicate frames at the end are what really sell the floaty effect. Figuring out where exactly the hair falls from point A to B is also something you really gotta keep in mind, overall it's a lot of things you have to put in your brain and I don't always have enough room!!! I really enjoyed playing with the background and effects for this as well, I lost the brush for those clouds and I need it back so bad it's so satisfyingg
