Vampire Lore, Concepts & Cute Stuff

Some fluff, concepts for the current arc, and vamp info! Got a request to draw some Wolf-Leo and Hazel hugs, and as we know I must give the people what they want!! Is it canon I dunnoooo I'm never telling you mwahahah (also threw in some cute Hazel sketches why not)

Additionally, Aurelia my beloved. I'm so normal about her can you tell. The art here is pretty old though, I think she looks a lot more polished in the comic which I'm glad for. I teased that she was inspired by Lusamine and Cynthia on Instagram, which is kind of true, but actually I never overtly took those ideas and put them into her character haha. When I first thought of her in 2020 I just knew I wanted her to have long blonde hair that covered one eye (I think my subconscious was trying to tell me something). Lusamine also having twins was genuinely a coincidence too lmao, H&H have been twins since 2019 when I redesigned them alongside Leo. Anyway I'm very excited! I have big plans for her, she's one of my favorite characters I've ever made >:)

As for the party costumes, I knew pretty quickly what I wanted them to be! I've teased before that Harvey has pretty conflicting feelings on being a vampire, can't talk about it too much but I'll say that throughout their lives Hazel has always tried to support him through it. She asked him beforehand if he was okay with the whole swap idea, and he wasn't uncomfortable with it. Harvey views fictional vampires pretty differently from the real thing, so the whole Victorian aesthetic doesn't really trigger anything for him. Plus he secretly kinda wanted to try on the thermals lol. He was originally gonna have a cape too but I didn't feel like drawing it so it got axed. Leo's a lion because I'm obvious 😔

Finally, I know some people are interested in how vampires (and other creatures) work in this universe, so I whipped something up real quick! The vampire lore is pretty extensive which is funny because (very minor spoiler?) they're really not part of the first half of the story at all. In my mind WH is divided into three parts, so vamps would become more of a thing towards the middle half of the second part, I'd say. So I just made a brief summary overviewing them, and tbh a lot of the vamp stuff is explored through Harvey. So, who knows, maybe I could make another story with vampires set in the same universe one day :] (maybe even with this random character I literally just made? lol! I really like her design idk!)
