November Monthly Review
Added 2019-12-03 18:34:39 +0000 UTCHello Everybody and welcome to monthly review for the month of November, I almost forgot weekly update and actually still messed up because it was supposed to be monthly review, oh well I can do it now.
The month of November saw the release of the final unpolished translation of Lilia's Livelihood, which should have been finished weeks before but like my previous big translation my mind made me not even want to work on the large maps, Common events was 2100 lines and took a while to finish due to working in short sprints just so I would work without dreading it. It's finished I only have to polish it which is far less dreaded since due to learning from previous translations I did take my time to make most things make sense, I even had the help of other translators this time due to joining a discord server where they hang out(they gave me a special role just to bust my balls, but hey I have a custom role ;p) so now certain sections don't have a massively wrong translation due to it not only stumping me but also them at times.
Also this month saw the release of Barkeeper my own personal debut in solo developing a game, I released two demos which both are quite rough but the next version will have a load of stuff added to it, bugs that I found because I guess I forgot to set the priority of certain events, doors weren't connected, and people didn't show up are now fixed. My artist who I will name with the next release finally got into contact with me so the next release will have some art added to it. The game will be uploaded to F95 and Itch.io when it's ready, so you have that to loo forward to in the month of December.
What's next? This month I have a few things planned, Lilia should receive its final polish update this month which will finish it off completely, Emiliana will be getting an update as well with any luck. Barkeeper should have its next release which will add in day/night cycles, days of the week, weather, and NPC to make the world feel a bit more populated. I'm going to be starting a new small translation project soon and will be posting a poll very soon with a few games to vote from(won't need to vote on Patreon, I'm just linking to the poll so hopefully patreon leaves me be this time) so look forward to that, it will be my translation project not after Emiliana but after the small project I choose so I can decompress a bit in case another big project is chosen.
Well I don't have anything more to say for this months review, hopefully everyone has a good holiday season and new years, I'll make sure to remember monthly review at the end of December. See you all for weekly update, and if you have any comments or suggestions feel free to leave them below.
