Damn, taking that into consideration it's not too bad the episode is split😬 To think so many panels would be left unpaid..Don't overwork yourself without getting paid for your extra work, your health and a fair payment are really important :)

Yeah they stop paying after reaching a certain panel count which varies across different creators but. I do believe the standard is 50-60 panels. So drawing beyond that is like working overtime but without the pay 😂

Some people explained what happened on the comments there (that's how I learned you actually had a patreon haha), so it's all right, but really sad you planned all this in one go and them they do that. But yeah, one more week, hope you at least get some well deserved rest from it.

So..they don't allow such long episodes to be posted anymore😐 I've heard from other creators before that they get paid for each panel they draw but only until a certain amount. Is that (still) the case? If this even is a question you're allowed to answer

Yeah I think perhaps the fast pass and ad revenue changed a few things since they werent a thing at the time yet. Also 64+65 was one episode. A really long one. So my editor fought to get me paid 2 episodes worth for it 😂

They've been having issues with their latest update to the app, too, I've noticed. Good gravy marie. 😑 Somebody needs to create an app for biweekly and monthly comics. I know consumers can get overeager, especially in an age where everything is expected to be instantaneous, but humans are just not built that way! 😤

Lol UGH because "cliffhangers keep readers engaged so they'll come back next week" NO cliffhangers annoy people esp when they know the effort the creators went through. I know their ultimate goal is profits and story is secondary but ugh. It reminds me of you telling us that they tried to convince you to simplify your backgrounds to save time. Like... okay sure that's an option but in a storytelling format that relies so heavily on the visuals, the little things you sneak in or the scene you set... it just sounds frustrating to be a creator with a vision told "meh let's just do this instead" 😭

Don't really understand that because even when Webtoons return from a hiatus there are always several fast pass episodes up at once, it's not like readers aren't ready to pay for one more episode. Ah well, it's a bummer after how much time you spent into this episode to get it out this week. I hope you'll be able to draw the next episode with no rush then and get your well deserved rest.

Yeah, the more I think about this, the more upset I am on your behalf. I know they aren't like, beholden to your word or anything, but it sucks knowing that you spent the better part of two weeks getting this episode ready, because you wanted us to have it all in one go. And you did 227!!!!!! panels including all the extra work that goes into the snow and altering your assets for it. Idk I know you probably can't comment much on this but I know a lot of us are really upset on your behalf. :/ if they were going to split it, you could have saved yourself some energy 😭
