2022-06-11 22:53:56 +0000 UTCHe got over 81k views on Spirited away and this was a year ago when his channel was smaller so it performed well. Issue with studio Ghibli is copyright strikes.

2022-06-09 09:29:35 +0000 UTCThe minute anyone says "Studio Ghibli", fans immediately jam the US-theater trilogy of Spirited Away/Howl's Moving Castle/Princess Mononoke down a reactor's throat. There HAVE been reactions to Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro and The Castle of Cagliostro, you know... Plus, there's also the retro anime classics fans don't know enough to ask for: I got one reactor to watch Project A-Ko, but still waiting for one willing to watch Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer or Sailor Moon R: the Movie.

2022-06-09 05:45:44 +0000 UTCI know what you mean. I picked Brave little toaster because it kept losing the poles. I also enjoyed it as a kid but it hasn’t aged that well to be fair. I also had one last top Patreon request and I picked Pagemaster. Hopefully it does well. I would like to see another Studio Ghibli film soon since it’s been a year on the first one he watched. Thought maybe he could do a YouTube pole on some of those movies

2022-06-08 03:52:08 +0000 UTCHonestly yea💀 I just bought a guaranteed reaction on the 1st for an Animated movie that hasn’t been on a list yet, hopefully it’ll liven things up though.

2022-06-07 14:43:33 +0000 UTCThe Peanuts Movie is...OKAY, but like the current AppleTV version, it was made by Charles Schulz's family/estate after his death, and doesn't quite have Schulz's own poignant silliness of the classic specials. It's not disrespectful, and the usual Peanuts and Snoopy gags happen, but lack Charlie Brown and Linus's distinctive takes on the philosophical meaning of it all.

2022-06-06 22:07:12 +0000 UTCThose who SAW it remember it, but that's divided between folks who remember the artsy "serious" 70's animation, and those who want to troll Nick with "Let's see him traumatized by all the bloody fights!" (When you're that age, you like to brag about how "dark and twisted" all your childhood movies were.)

2022-06-06 19:43:14 +0000 UTCAgain, the title of the '00 Fantasia movie is "Fantasia 2000" (no parentheses) and I voted--Even if you were ehh on the '40 movie, this has a little more 90's-Disney sensibility to it, but still with the all-music idea. And even more than the '04 live-action mess, the '73 Charlotte's Web is the dream-team cast version of the original book, with post-Mary Poppins songs by the Sherman Bros. And a bit of 70's Hanna-Barbera cuteness, but they mean well.
