It's so messed up on the dad's part to never mention it and just expect she'll be okay with it after not having a real relationship with her all those years. I feel worst for her in this film. She's a better daughter than I am a son for the way she accepted everything in the end. I feel second worst for B. She obviously only seeks male attention because her father is rather absent, and she needs attention from somewhere with her mother being gone (and likely absent most of her life as well). Are you planning on watching the sequel to this movie? B's story is explained much more in that one, so maybe that's where some of my feelings towards her come from.
