I had to read A Christmas Carol in school, and thanks to both my lack of motivation to read any assigned book and the fact that I had been watching this movie since I could remember, I got solid Bs on all my Christmas carol assignments haha. This is such a great adaptation of the book! But there are a couple of adaptations I love just as much: "Scrooged!" a comedic live-action version starring Bill Murray as the scrooge, it's hilarious and so fun! And the 2019 "A Christmas Carol" starring Gay Pearce; a serious and genuinely spooky version of the story. I highly recommend both movies for anyone's Christmas watch list!

As I mentioned to you previously, of the hundreds of adaptations of the story that there have been over the years, this is the ONLY version to ever use direct lines from the text as a narrative framing device. So despite the fact that it's starring a bunch of Muppets and it's also a musical, it still considered one of the most faithful adaptations of the story, and it's why the great great grandson of Charles Dickens says it's his favorite adaptation.
