I just commented a few days ago about Glynis Johns (the actress who portrayed Elsie in this and Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins) and how she was 100 years old...she just passed away today. RIP.

2024-01-05 01:02:32 +0000 UTCI used to watch this often when I was younger, but not until this time watching did I notice the actress that plays Elsie is the same actress who played Mrs. Banks (the blonde mom) in Mary Poppins (1964)! Her name is Glynis Johns and she turned 100 this past October. So cool!

Watched it late New Year’s Eve and had a bit of a chuckle when they were attending a New Year’s Eve party onscreen Lots of familiar faces in this as well. Sandra Bullock is awesome as always. Bill Pullman has been in many movies. Notable as the dad in Casper and the leading man in Space Balls. The man who played the sleeper “Peter” (Peter Gallagher) was in the “High Spirits” movie you had recently watched for me. He played the priest that finally gave into temptation. This is just a happy family Christmas season movie that I like to watch every year. Thank you for your reaction. I did notice you forgot to give it a rating. LOL. Hopefully you can let us know.
