This season finale is my favorite of the whole series! 🥹 second favorite is season 4. I can’t wait to see the rest of the series. I came from YouTube reactions that i just discovered a couple of weeks ago 😁

Monica and Chandler are soo cute, no matter how many times I watch the episodes, I can’t help but get so giddy when we find out chandler is actually gonna propose, at the end of the other episode, and then the end of this finale. My heart was beating so fast watching you guys react even though I knew what was gonna happen 😭LOL ready for s7!

If I recall correctly, there was never actually a scene with Phoebe and Joey agreeing to be each other’s “backup”. We did, however, get a scene like that with Chandler and Monica lol. Way back in season 1 when Carol was having Ben.

My favorite season finale by far. Monica and Chandler are my favorite Tv couple ever. They are ment for each other. The proposal was the sweetest ever and I’m so glad it ended on such a great note. They had such an amazing progression in their relationship, to me it was just perfect.

Definitely my favourite season finale! I think they actually intended to end it on a cliffhanger originally, but then there was uncertainty of whether the show would be renewed for a seventh season, so they made the decision to have it end happily in case it would end up being the series finale. I really like when they don’t just do cliffhanger endings but sometimes end seasons more definitively.
I also really love that they brought Richard back for this plot purpose but they didn’t derail him and make him a huge jerk all of a sudden, in order to justify Monica choosing Chandler. Sure, it’s rather dubious to propose to someone you know is in a committed relationship, but at the same time you can’t fully blame him for taking his chance. And he did step aside when he realized how much Monica and Chandler love each other.
As for the main proposal itself, it’s quite simply iconic. The candles, the fakeout by Joey (who got to show his true acting chops), Monica getting down on one knee… In the end they proposed to each other, which seems so perfect for them. Ross and Rachel are unfortunately quite toxic together, while Monica and Chandler are the opposite. They really are best friends as well as lovers and partners, and they have a healthy relationship. Chandler’s words to Monica were quite possibly the best proposal I’ve ever heard on any show, ever. No wonder both Cox and Perry cried while shooting this scene.
It’s been really great watching season six with you guys; I always enjoy hearing your discussions and your viewpoints. Can’t wait for season seven!
