Castle Gate
Added 2025-03-01 07:51:16 +0000 UTCA wooden drawbridge extends across a turbid, stream-fed moat to a stone deck before a castle gatehouse. Four minarets tower high above the crenelated battlements and covered walls, with smoke rising from the various chimneys inside the fortification. Braziers flank the portcullis, with massive reinforced doors propped open wide. The ringing of an anvil punctuates the cacophony of conversation and the bleating of livestock behind the walls.

Thank you for your comment. I've edited the post so it may appear out of context now, but oh well. It's challenging to find the momentum these days given everything that's going on, so just the acknowledgement from another human that it is indeed tough out here is a much needed sanity check.
