As someone working in the creative space, I've never quite understood the artists/photographers that do the same style throughout their whole career. Especially in a social media world where a good response to something can give you the mindset that it's the only style that works for you, it's dangerous. People will get bored and move on.
I recently saw a photographer talking about the shoot above with the legendary Naomi Campbell. The photographer explained how they got this effect and it really intrigues me. To achieve it you need a combination of studio flash photography and studio constant lighting (ie not flash).
I'm surprised Naomi approved images where she's not really recognisable but then, she is also probably excited about trying something new. When I see images and hear stories like this about experimentations in technique, I wonder how I could adapt it or reinterpret it to work with a male nude. This would be a lot of fun to experiment with.
