New Tax Settings go into Effect on Patreon Tomorrow
Added 2020-06-30 14:18:24 +0000 UTCHi everyone! Patreon has an update to how they handle sales tax starting tomorrow. As far as I've been able to research it I don't believe any of my patrons will be affected all that much since I don't provide physical goods on my platform. However, you might see an added charge starting tomorrow on your monthly pledge. In the United States, this sales tax is from 4-11 percent depending on the state you live in (half the states don't require a tax at all). International patrons can expect a tax of around 5-15 percent if applicable. Please let me know if you have any questions, just wanted to give a quick heads-up!
