@sam you should do more color theory, light dynamic, and how you do the feather/fur coat texture, I can’t implement that in my art work 🥺

Hey Sam, I’m new to this platform and truly enjoy your work! You truly are an inspiration to many of us. I am a retired Forensic Artist and have been brought back to assist my fellow forensic artists in the unit. You might be wondering, ‘what can a forensic artist gain by me?’ Plenty, believe me. Your style, composition, etc, has given me the drive to break through from the ordinary forensic sketches (composite sketches) that the general public is used to seeing, to something more lively and updated. I personally would like to see a rendering of a face (if you don’t have one already) from beginning to end, with emphasis on blending and how you stack your layers. Doing a composite sketches can be daunting for the witness/victim, and therefore needs to be done expeditiously but without tainting the quality of the sketch. It is for this reason that I implore you to assist me so that myself and fellow forensic artist can gain insight into your method. Thank you !

I struggle with knowing when exactly to use saturated or desaturated colours. My work also doesn't have the painterly effect that I'd like and it comes off too cartoonish. I would love to get some tips on brush economy and picking colours more accurately.

This! 👍

How to paint/render in a semi-realistic style similar to league of legends splash art? Using a 3-point light setup: main light, bounce light, ambient light. As well as form shadows, cast shadows, and ambient occlusion. Mainly focusing on the process, like a painting demo of your own fan art splash from league of legends in a time-lapse video where you comment on the process along the way, maybe pausing before each stage and explaining the theory behind what your doing and then goes back to time-lapse with your commentary for the application of the theory. Also, maybe breakdown painting techniques like edge control/blending, painting along the form, etc. Sometimes its hard to know how all these things come together in a full painting, the commentary can be really helpful.

Explaining what the word rendering actually means

I know this is kind of a "depends on the style" one, but it would be awesome if you could give some pointers on the step of moving from a "true to reference" type drawing to stylizing the piece. It feels like the moment I start to move away from the reference, things kind of fall apart.
