Status Update Feb 2023
Added 2023-02-21 11:40:48 +0000 UTCAlmost done with the current commission list, so I am planning to open the next round. I have been thinking about it, but am currently unable to think of a good way to do the commission list.
The last list is easily done, but ran into a couple of issues, namely there are some who put in submissions for fun, but are not willing to make payment, thus needing to be replaced, as well as limited slots making it so that the list is quickly filled by people who happen to be awake and near their computer.
I had considered some other way, like collecting all the submissions for a day before using a number generator to determine the list, etc. But in the end, I think I'll try something else.
My plan for this round would be to use a google sheet to collect the submissions to track time easier, as well as telling you guys in advance, in the hope that it'll help with people in different timezone and whatnot. It's not perfect, but hopefully it'll be better then the last round.
Currently I plan to start the submission on 1st March 2023, 12am midnight UTC+8, and open it for one hour. Due to the previous issue of people not willing to pay, I'd ask for upfront payment first, though of course I am open for discussion as always. Which means that whatever number of submissions I get would be the next commission list. I expect about 50, given that in the last round, the 20 slots were filled in about 20 mins, so that seems to be the right number.
I also plan to work on some projects I'd like to work on personally, between commissions. These would be for G9, as I'll like to try that out.
- Gotham Knights
- Bayonetta 3
- Marvel Midnight Sun
- Final Fantasy 7 remake
- Anything else I happen to be interested in.
I'll post the link to the form here, though it'll only open during the stated time above, at least if the add-on works.
Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for a better system.

Hmm, yeah, I definitely agree with limiting multiple commissions. Maybe even limit it to one at a time with an additional cap on how many commissions they can request per year? (unless you actually run out of work that way) I just think a waitlist would be the most globally fair in terms of opportunity.

2023-02-24 06:55:25 +0000 UTCThat's kinda what I was trying to avoid, as the last time I opened commissions like this, I ended up taking over a year to clear the backlog. There is this one guy that threw over 20 commissions at once, and that alone took 6 months to clear, alternating between other commissions. That's why I ask people to try and limit their commissions to 3 at once if possible. The current system isn't perfect, that's for sure, which is why I am testing out various things, to try and find the best way to go about this.

2023-02-24 05:38:10 +0000 UTCWould a waitlist work? People just sign up, and whenever you feel like taking commissions (such as 20) you just automatically take the next twenty commissions on the list. If they don’t pay when they’re activated, their slot immediately goes to the next person on the list and so on? I don’t know how you might incorporate multiple commissions from the same person, though I suppose each request could count as a slot (perhaps spaced out down the list to give some progress to the individual commissions, especially if someone is trying to commission fifty slots at once or something.)?

2023-02-22 07:05:51 +0000 UTCI certainly would want to, as my skills are much better then they were, though it's usually not practical, so it's currently on a case by case basis.

2023-02-22 07:05:28 +0000 UTCHoping the up front payment can solve that issue. Most people do that anyway, so it's really just a formality and a 'just in case' kinda thing, to be honest.

2023-02-22 07:04:21 +0000 UTCI don't usually do environments, as the amount of textures that needs assigning can get pretty crazy, but once in a while shouldn't hurt. :)

2023-02-22 07:01:04 +0000 UTCThe issue then would be there are patreons who don't have models to commission and don't need the slots, as well as people who want or need more then one.
Shinteo
2023-02-22 07:00:56 +0000 UTCIt's $50usd per model. Generally it's one character + 1 outfit + Hair. I usually don't mind doing a little extra, but if it's things like additional outfits and such, then yes, I'd ask for additional charge.

2023-02-22 06:57:40 +0000 UTCHow much are commissions? Does the amount vary based on character morphs & materials, clothing & props, and when all of the above are in one request?

2023-02-22 02:18:53 +0000 UTCHow about rationing commissions? For example, if I get on the list next month, I will be guaranteed one further commission every (e.g.) six months from then on, but cannot request any commissions in between those times. The time interval would obviously depend on how many patrons you have. It would mean that every patron would be guaranteed to get commissions, but only a limited number. It seems fairer than a commission 'race' every time. Alternatively, you could allocate each patron a specific month (or months ) when they could submit a commission request.

2023-02-22 00:19:15 +0000 UTCConsidering requesting a commission. You are very active, so I would have no problem paying up front.

2023-02-21 13:42:25 +0000 UTCwhy don't you make it so that if someone wants a commission they should put down a deposit to secure a spot, will get rid of those asking for a spot and then not paying

2023-02-21 13:36:52 +0000 UTCNo suggestions as to come up with a better commission list system at this time, but would you ever consider going back and updating/improving an old commission?
