What I'm up to 11-5-2018
Added 2018-11-05 19:52:56 +0000 UTCWell last night either they decided to shut the power off for the rest of the night, or there was yet another incident with the very faulty power grid in this city. They almost never tell you when the power is going to go out, and when they do, it never happens when they say it will. And of course, there's usually no explanation given.
From what I hear the last mayor of this town didn't pay the power company his whole time in office. So the power company routinely shuts off the power every so often to recoup costs. When I can afford to the first thing I will do is buy a gas powered generator.
The one good thing about this is the people here are so used to the power going out that it doesn't cause mass chaos like it would in the first world. We could probably go without power for a good 2 weeks and no one would be too phased. Where I'm from in California, the very fabric of society would crumble without power for 2 weeks.
Anyway, today I'm still finishing up the AI improvements on MazeQuest 2, which are turning out to be interesting. The AI now tries to avoid getting closer than it needs to to make an attack, and it places a higher value on hexes that are farther away from danger. So a ranged unit will now kite around trying to avoid the melee units. It's pretty cool and I'll be getting some footage of this when I get all the other improvements for this next patch.
On the video front, I am now doing Heroes 4 videos at the same time as I'm finishing up a set of Diablo 2 videos. So today there will be 2 let's play videos uploaded.
