Unfortunate news regarding the upcoming issue of CHM.
Added 2022-02-20 04:15:13 +0000 UTCDear Loyal Readers,
We are all aware of the supply chain issues causing shortages in everything from cars to pasta to toilet paper. For quite a while, it seemed like Cosmic Horror Monthly was mystically immune to the woes of the pandemic. Sadly, trouble has caught up with us.
I have been notified that our print supplier is completely out of paper for the time being. It is wild, there truly is a worldwide paper shortage currently. We are seeking out all possible options to remedy the situation and to get things back to normal but unfortunately, we will be unable to deliver a print edition for March in a timely fashion. We cannot order from a competing print supplier without raising our prices. Ultimately, the paper shortage is across the board. We had a similar issue take place in December. I chose to print the run myself from home, a run that has grown tremendously. It was enough to make me consider walking away from CHM and I don't want to return to that place. I love putting this magazine together and a one-man printing operation, it is not.
I know how important each issue is to the collector so fret not. The print edition of March will see the light of day. I just do not know exactly when that will be. For the time being, I will ensure everyone receives a digital copy one week earlier than the typical release. Still, I understand many will seek partial or full refunds and if that is the case for you, simply respond to this email with your wishes and I will respond quickly.
In the future, I will do my best to be more prepared for these situations to arise and I am truly sorry for any pain caused by this news. Thank you kindly for your patience and your understanding.
Charles

I mind neither waiting nor paying more. Love the magazine, and appreciate all the work you put into it.
