Hello and welcome to another month of Coffee Buns development!

Up to this point in the VN, we've mostly stuck to the main trunk of the narrative, with choices primarily determining who accompanies you during significant plot beats. We're branching out a little more in this update as we enter the dating portion of the narrative. Well, except when you spend your time with Roman. That's not a date, that's just two bros hanging out.

New Story - Mermaid Time with Roman!

Day Eight of our story starts with Leo getting a new wardrobe for his new body and then deciding what to do with the rest of the day. Eventually, you'll be able to select from a number of characters, but we started out by developing the scene that occurs if you choose to spend the day with Roman.

If you previously spent the end of Day Seven with Roman, you probably already heard his pitch to attend an event where you undergo an aquatic transformation to spend the day swimming in the ocean. Roman is already a natural in the water, but Leo's gonna need that leg up to make the most of the day. Or a fin up, perhaps.

The day goes even better than planned. Maybe even a little too well. Well enough that it might make Leo have to reconsider the way he feels about his friend. It's all gonna have to be hashed out, so join us to see what happens to our favorite roommates!

New Transformistress Art - Three New CGs and one finished CG

Mira's treating us to three whole new CGs this month, including a multi-step TF into a whole new form for Leo. There's also the one you see above, and one that comes at the end of the new story segment featuring Roman and Leo.

She also finished the Day 7 CG featuring cameos we previously promoted on this patreon. Thank you to Meadu, Sora, Bard, and KaiserDunk for providing your characters and supporting us with your donations!

New Art from KDhynamo - New Sprites and New Special Art Assets

KD has been spending most of this month getting ahead of some design and art work for future updates, but he's still got plenty new to offer. There's new expressions for Roman, two new outfits for Bonnie, one more for Roman, and another for Boss. There's also human versions of all three of Bonnie's swimsuits and a new introduction for Boss at the beach.

We're very excited to get to this point in the story where we get to spend some extended scenes with our side characters, especially Roman. He's been locked out of a lot of choices so far, and we hope his fans will enjoy some quality time with him.

As you might have noticed, our artists have been putting some extra effort into the next update ahead of time. We hope to release that update next month since we haven't had two months in a row of Coffee Buns updates in a while. In any case, we'll be back next month with a Crossed Signals update as well as two other surprises we'll share with you soon!
