Hello Patrons!

We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but today might be the day you Coffee Buns fans have been waiting for. We've reached a pivotal moment in the story of Leo, and we've really pulled out all the stops for this update featuring the biggest transformation we've had so far.

With such a big update, we wanted a clean slate to prevent crashes and other bugs, so we'll let you know that all save files from previous versions are not compatible with the new update. Old save files referencing removed material are the biggest source of bugs, so we want to prune those problem-causing saves every so often. Please use our newly-enhanced Chapter Select page to find your place in the story again.

So, with that notice out of the way, let's get to what's new in this update!

New Story - Day 5

Part of what's been motivating Leo to return to his normal body is so that he can go out to the beach with his roommate, Roman. The end of Day 4 saw him return to normal (though still a rabbit) but he's not that confident things will remain that way. But Roman's so insistent about the two of them taking advantage of their new furry bodies that he's cajoled into a day of surf and sun at a beach near New Greenshire. There, he'll meet another acquaintance depending on your choices in Day 4 and have different experiences with them.

Of course, Leo's been having all his TF-related issues based on run-ins with beautiful women in alluring clothing, and there's no better place to find those on a beach. But it shouldn't be a problem for our good pal Leo.

New Art from The Transformistress - New CGs, Finished CGs, and Sketch CGs!

This is such a big story update that it contains four whole CGs, including two TFs and one cameo illustration waiting on some cameo character designs. That includes an absolutely massive 18-step transformation of Leo, one that ends with a full-size pinup. It's going to serve as a centerpiece for the story, and we don't want you to miss out on it.

In addition, there's two new CGs that are currently in sketch form to round out the day's story and will be completed later.

Also, after existing since the beginning of the first version of Coffee Buns, we've finally added a background to the initial Ash and Boss TF scene! We can update that thumbnail on the itch project page at last!

New Art from KDhynamo - Tons of new sprites, including two new characters

Listen, if you're gonna have a day at the beach in your story, that's gonna be accompanied by lots of cute new outfits. That includes six, yes, six new swimsuits across all the characters that appear in this update. There are even three sketched outfits that will be finished in future updates.

There's also whole new characters, new expressions and poses for existing characters and a hilarious sketched recounting of a tall tale told by one of the characters that we won't spoil the joke for.

KD really had his work cut out for him this update and we are amazed and thankful for all he drew for this update.

New Background from Heart - Beach Background

And where does all this fun take place? At the new beach drawn by Heart, of course! It features one of her favorite subjects in the form of crabs, so make sure to pick them out in the scenes they appear.

New Features - Gallery and enhanced Chapter Select

We've got 13 whole CGs in the VN at this point, so we thought it was finally time to add a gallery to look at the beautiful art whenever you'd like. It also lets you know what scenes you haven't yet had a chance to see to track your progress through the story.

We also have a newly-enhanced chapter select that lets you adjust variables as you select scenes so you can quickly see how things turn out differently based on what decisions you've made. Hopefully this will make it easier to pick up where your previous saves left off or maybe even read some new passages you haven't yet seen.
