Starfighter overhaul overview
Added 2021-03-13 09:56:56 +0000 UTCAs you may know for many months now, before my burnout, I was working on a comprehensive, from-scratch redesign of all our starfighters for the Remake mod, from weapon types to applied debuffs and abilities, everything has been completely reimagined. This took a long time and I haven't shared much of it with the community. Now that it's approaching completion and the testing and designing is done, I've written a overview on individual elements and the design philosophy for each element.
There is a new channel on our discord server with this text, but here is the PDF version of the overview for those of you who couldn't/didn't want to keep up with the many test and balance streams but still want to be kept in the loop.
I'm looking forward to seeing peoples reactions to the depth and balance of this new system, it has been thoroughly tested, balance tested, adjusted, and done that all over again, and I'm very satisfied with the end result! And I hope so will you guys when eventually released.
