New year, new Rolling for Seduction!

Hey all! It's been too long. I didn't charge anyone for the month of January since I didn't put out anything new. I can only apologize for my silence: my life has continued to be extremely unfriendly to the idea of sitting down and getting any work done. I've been working hard to change that and I'm determined to make this year a very productive one for Rolling for Seduction. The one thing 2025 has afforded me is a lot of time to ponder changes I want to make and things I want to add. Let me share what I'm envisioning.

BOOK CHANGES

I have some additions to make to the core rulebook, some edits to finalize, and a total shake-up of how the rules are made available to people. Over this past 6 months, as I drifted in and out of internet service, I began to convert the PDF copies of my books into plain markdown in Obsidian. These versions aren't as pretty: they don't have pictures or page formatting, but they've got all the info. And sometimes that's all you need. Over the course of the next 3 months I want to produce text-only versions of all R4S material and make it available to all of my patrons at every level. Higher tiers will still get you the pretty PDFs full of pictures and fiction, but if you're just here for the bare-bones rules then that'll be free to all patrons.

In addition, I'd like to make the core ruleset officially available to everyone to use and remix as they see fit. I'm going to work on setting the copyright to something that allows the most creativity from everyone who wants to build on my rules!

DISCORD CHANGES

I'd like to revitalize the official Discord. Over this month of January I'm going to be trimming and pruning, and I'm going to be sourcing new shared activities. I loved how we brainstormed and came up with things together but I think we can do even more! I'd love to keep having monthly creative workshops but I've got two things that have been gnawing at me and I'd love to do:

First, I love the art that I've seen of all your characters but I want to see more! Starting at the end of January, I'm going to be randomly picking from among my Patrons on Discord to have an artist commission a scene from your own home games! Perhaps it's your character caught unawares, or a particularly sticky situation... I'll let you put your name in the metaphorical hat and then get an artist to bring your imagination to life!

Second, I think it's finally time: we're going to be starting our very own D&D game over on Discord. I'm going to have to change the format a bit--it'll probably end up being mostly choose-your-own-adventure--but every week I'll tell you what happens to our intrepid heroes and just what trouble they'll have to free themselves from next! If all goes well, I think there's room for a more traditional game as well...

PRODUCTION CHANGES

I've had a lot of fun with the "one month small, one month large" system over the past few years but as my larger projects grow in scope they become increasingly hard to fit into just one or two months. I'm not done with smaller projects but I'm going to de-prioritize them for the moment and focus instead on the bigger, more exciting stuff. Right now I have three large projects waiting in the wings:

Sin City, an erotic location module; Monster Mashing, chock-full of sexy monsters to fight and fondle; and in the background I've also been working on an erotic setting with custom races, locations, and more! Sin City is ready to go (it's just waiting on art) but the other two will take some continued work. I'm going to be pulling from them for polls, showcases, and your feedback as they develop.

I'm still working on what the final production will look like, but I think it's likely to be something like, 2 monsters every month (voted on by the community), an NPC profile every month, and the larger modules as they develop!

PATREON CHANGES

Now the real question: how does this impact you? At the end of this month I'm going to be changing the Patreon tiers to better reflect your rewards. I'll announce what it'll look like, but I'm thinking something like this:

• $1 tier - Discord access, print-only rulesets, poll voting power

• $5 tier - ALSO any $3-$5 modules, early looks at developing content

• $10 tier - ALSO participation in Discord D&D games, early access

That means that we're wrapping the $3 tier into the $5, and you still get everything you would normally... but if you choose to back me for $10, not only can you play in the upcoming game if you'd like, but you'll also get your hands on any releases a whole week before everyone else!
