Poltercast II: The Other Side of the Franchise

This time we talk about the underrated Poltergeist III and the deservedly forgotten 2015 Poltergeist remake. If the first episode in this series was unrelentingly positive, this one is more ambiguous. We dig the third and final movie in the franchise proper, but the remake... well, let's put it this way... if you find enjoyment in listening to two old guys yelling at clouds, this might be the podcast for you!

You conversation about how hollow and functional the remake was reminded me of watching one of the Thanos movies and, at a certain point, I could almost see the whiteboard in the Marvel offices where they had a list of B and C characters who are only going to get 2 minutes of dialogue but need to have "an arc". With little check boxes next to each name to indicate that they'd fit in the three lines for each of them. Technically there, but pointless and sterile.
