I like how he feels he’s in the shadow of his father yet he still wants to do his best to be a good king to his people. His relationship with the Assassin is also done well because on the surface it might strange that he’s pouring his heart out to the person who just tried to kill him, but considering his mental state and how the only people he has contact with are those whose duty it is to work for them I can see why he would want to vent to someone in his age group who would also be unbiased unlike his guards and servants who from the Kings perspective would just tell him what he wants to hear.
