2024-05-16 00:26:14 +0000 UTCwithout spoiling basically their goal is to create an artificial intelligence capable of thinking and acting on their own. that's why they had to start with babies. unfortunately the taboo index was created by the inhabitants which caused problems since obviously in the real world people don't obey the laws to an excessive extent. they needed an outside influence to continue the experiment, hence why kirito was thrown in.

You strongly believe you are the real one but the other person also believe hes the real one. What will you do if you were told you were a clone and you must live rest of your life being a slave of yourself? Most people would hate the idea of being a clone themselves. When you copy someone too perfectly, it can backfire like in the show with AI. Which introduce a theory, what would happen if you raise a baby into thinking hes a clone. Theyre doing the same thing with AI. This is kinda similar with disabilities. Picture someone who was born without arms, or born blind. Their perspective on life is pretty different than someone who lost their arms or went blind in their 20s. Sorry if i went on a rant lol, this is my first time watching it too and I kinda found this fascinating
